Friends of Lafayette Animal Shelter

We are an animal welfare/rescue organization whose mission is to enhance the quality of life for the dogs, cats, birds and other companion animals in the care of Lafayette Animal Shelter and Center (LASCC) and other animal shelters and welfare agencies in the greater Lafayette area, to end euthanasia as the primary means of population control, and to reduce the number of homeless animals at LASCC. We partner with LASCC, to promote adoption and to provide beds and other donations. We also specialize in Surrender Prevention by working with owners to assist them in keeping their pets by assisting with vetting, food, fencing, and a variety of other needs.
