About Shelter
Little Wanderers NYC is an all-volunteer, grass-roots cat rescue group, providing critical direct rescue services to the neediest cats in the toughest areas of New York City.
Little Wanderers operates an extensive foster-based network that provides immediate shelter for homeless and injured stray cats and kittens.
Through community education, and Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR), our aim is to reduce the feral and stray cat overpopulation epidemic, by ending cycles of generational suffering through spay and neuter services.
Little Wanderers operates solely on financial support from donors, and grant funding. 90% of our general operating budget is spent on direct vetting care for our rescue animals.
In FY 2019, Little Wanderers rescued 1,119 cats and kittens and placed over 750 of them into a loving, forever homes.
